Method 1.

Step1.

Then press Windows button+R run command will open.

Useful Group Policy Tips and Trick

  1. Bypass delete confirmation

Whenever you want to delete any file or folder than one delete confirmation box appears and it asks you to delete ‘Yes’ or ‘No’. This is good for all because it prevent us from accidentally deleting file and folder. Delete confirmation box is work like a safeguard for all Windows users. It can be turned off from Recycle Bin desktop icon. Just right click on the icon and go to properties there you see a checkbox on Delete confirmation dialogue, just uncheck it and apply it.

Open Local Group Policy and go to this path.

User Configuration>Administrative Templates> Windows Components> Windows Explorer> Display Confirmation Dialog When Deleting Files

Double click on that and then click on Enable then Apply>Ok.

Your effect has been set. Now you are not able to see the delete confirmation box or popup.

  1. Completely Block Control Panel.

This restriction mainly helpful for school and college network environment. But it you want to get master control in your home system then it will also helpful. When you enable this you will not able to access the control panel.

User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Control Panel > Prohibit access to Control Panel and PC Settings

Double click on that and then click on Enable then Apply>Ok.

If you want to give access to some part of the control panel then use this step and choose the menu.

User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Control Panel > Hide specified Control Panel items
User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Control Panel > Show only specified Control Panel Item

Double click on that and then click on Enable then choose as you want and click on Apply>Ok.


  1. Disabling Notification Area.

If you no need to use your notification then you can remove it from the taskbar. It does not remove permanently, it will be disabled.

User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Start Menu and Taskbar > Hide The Notification Area policy

Double click on that and then click on Enable then Apply>Ok.

  1. Remove clock from taskbar

If you don’t need a clock at your Taskbar then it can also be removed.

User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Start Menu and Taskbar > Remove Clock From The System Notification Area policy

Double click on that and then click on Enable then Apply>Ok.

Now Logoff your system and Log on again and you will see the change.

  1. Showing only specified Control Panel Icon

This will show the Control panel icon as you want and this thing helpful when any user makes change without knowing the user. Many of users identify the working platform or relative platform. There is a good approach to specifying just those few Control Panel icon which you want to use or see.

User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Control Panel > Hide specified Control Panel items

Double click on that and then click on Enable then click on show button to list of allowed Control Panel items.

Type name of items and hit enter then click on ok. And at last, Apply and Ok.

  1. Customising Windows security windows (Ctrl+Alt+Del option).

When we press Ctrl+Alt+Delete then there we many menus like Lock this computer, switch user, Task Manager, Log off and Change Password. These can be disabled using this step.

User Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Ctrl+Alt+Del Options

Double click on that and then click on Enable then Apply>Ok.

Change Password: – whenever you want to change the password from login user account you can change. But after making a change from group policy this can be disabled.

Lock this Computer: – when you want to lock this you can do this from here, it is more helpful when your account is password protected. When you click on this it will lock your computer and when you log in again it asks for the password.

Task Manager: – This is the very helpful menu, because whenever you face unwanted problem in your system like explorer.exe is not working then it will help you to resolve so personally doesn’t disable it.

Remove Logoff: – whenever you want to log off your current user account then you can choose this and your login user account is close with all running programs.

  1. Enable shut down Event Tracker

When you click on Shutdown button then your system will shut down without asking anything and it will close all running programs with force. Here Shutdown Event Tracker will ask to choose reason and comment like server computer.

Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Display Shutdown Event Tracker policy

Double click on that and then click on Enable then Apply>Ok.

If you want to don’t ask this all the time then you can choose the option. Click options under the Shutdown Event Tracker should be displayed.

  1. Turn off Windows Defender.

If any reason you want to disable windows defender then it will help. However, personally, I don’t recommend because it prevents us from many malicious or unwanted materials.

  1. Disable Removal Media Drives.

We all have a friend who plugs removal disk all time to know what was on it or they always need any \thing from your system. This is the bad habit because randomly using these things can harm your system. Here you can disable the Removal Media Drive like USB, CD-Drive.

User Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Removable Storage Access > Removable Disks: Deny read access

  1. Prevent from installing software

Many times in our friend use our system and they install many applications for knowing what they work or what is it. They also uninstall the application after work done.
