chdsk is command represent as check disk and it uses to check and repair your disk problem. Normally it will perform the task in 3 stages.

Step1

Plug your corrupted SD card in your computer.

Step 2

Click on start button and then type “cmd” in the search box. It will show you cmd.exe.

Step 3

Right click on CMD and then click “Run as administrator”.

Step 4

Type

Chkdsk /x /f <SD card letter:> or chkdsk <SD Card letter:> /f

Then hit enter for starting the task.

Now windows will check the disk and fix any corrupted SD Card. This task can take few minutes depending on the amount of corruption and on the storage size of the card.

After completing the task you will see the message “Windows has made the correction to the file system” in the command prompt windows.
