We have Pendrive or HDD which carry important files like secret ideas or plan, essential documentation and many things s like this. If your these files are copied or accidentally deleted or lost. These can happen in a movement with you anytime if you won’t take the disciplined step.

In the window, there is a program named “BitLocker”. This service is not much known technology. But this program helps you to give password protection and encryption your data in pen drive or Hard Disk Drive (HDD). There are so many third party software available. So difficult to choose best one of them. Some of these are pro version and some of them are premium version.
NOTE: -Bitlocker is an inbuilt feature which available in window 7, windows 8 and above.

Give password protection to your Pendrive
These steps are not yet much time consuming and very easy to setup.
Step1.
Insert your Pendrive and Right click on it.
Step2.
Click on Turn on BitLocker.
It will start automatic toward encryption process.
(Don’t remove your Pendrive at time of processing)
Step3.
Here you can see two options for unlocking your Pendrive.
1.Use a password to unlock the drive.
2.Use my smart card to unlock the drive.
You should choose “use a password to unlock the drive”. Type strong and same password in both blocks then click on next.
Step4.
If you enter the unmemorable password or long password. Here you can save your password. Click on save the recovery key to a file and click on next.
Step5.
1. Remember your password to unlock.
2. Don’t unplug your drive until encryption is not complete.
Click on start now.
This process will take few minutes to complete the process.
Now your encryption is completed.
Now, your Pendrive or HDD is full encryption by Bitlocker. You can do all things as you do with your Pendrive copy, paste delete open any file etc. if you create new file or folder that will auto protected.
Unlock Bitlocker drive.
Step1.
Insert your drive and click on unlock your drive.
Step2.
Enter your Bitlocker password.
Successfully locked or unlocked your drive with the help of inbuilt feature in windows i.e Bitlocker.
